Virgin Atlantic has paused ticket sales on its new daily service to Seoul, which is due to start in March 2026.
The long-awaited launch was announced in April, with tickets going on sale in May, but now a message on the airline’s website says: “Seoul’s calling – just not quite yet.
“We’re gearing up to launch new flights to Seoul from 29th March 2026. While we’re putting the final touches in place, sales are on pause. We’ll be up and running again soon, and can’t wait to welcome you onboard.”
Tickets to the South Korean capital are available on the website via Virgin Atlantic’s codeshare partner Korean Air.
A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson confirmed: “We’re excited to be launching new flights to Seoul, South Korea, on 29 March 2026, and are currently finalising all the elements required for this new service.
“We look forward to opening sales in due course, and welcoming customers onboard next year.
“Whilst tickets were on sale initially, the on-sale date has been delayed due to required South Korean permit approvals. We look forward to reopening sales in due course.”
Virgin Atlantic first flagged plans to fly to the South Korean capital in March 2023, and later unveiled a codeshare with Korean Air.
Its services will fly on the airline’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
